Around the corner from Sant'Agostino, on the site of what was once the Baths of Nero, is the church of Sant'Apollinare alle Terme and although a church had been here since the 7th century it was completely rebuilt in 1748 on the orders of Pope Benedict XIV.
Since 1990 the church has been in the possession of Opus Dei.
The ceiling vault was painted by Stefano Pozzi and shows the Glory of Saint Apollinare.
The altarpiece at the main altar was by Ercole Graziani and depicts Saint Peter Consecrating Saint Apollinare as Bishop.
